- My great-great-grandfather, Thomas
Braidwood Wilson was born in Uphall in April 1792. He became a Ships
Surgeon on the convict ships which came to Australia during the
1800s. He settled in Australia in 1836, and I have been writing the
family history. The only snag is, despite the fact that they had
thirteen children, no details about James Wilson and Catherine Boak
(the parents) can be found. I found some of the children were
christened in Kirknewton but the parents are again elusive. Would

- I was fascinated to find such a lively
web-site when I booked in. My main reason was to seek help in
tracing two members of my family with whom I have lost touch. They
are Agnes Pringle Campbell and her brother Ian. My mother Agnes
Lucas Campbell was born in 1895 and lived in Station Row [or
possibly Office Row] Her father Thomas Campbell was born in 1847 and
died just before I was born in 1927. He married Elizabeth Lucas
Penman but I don't the date. My mother's brother, Thomas was born in
1896/
