Below are details of some of the groups and activities which take place within the church.
This group meets on alternate Wednesday evening in the Church Hall from 7.30 p.m .- 9.00 p.m. The group welcomes any interested member of our congregation and friends, and is keen to attract new members. Our group which we would wish to be representative of all ages and both sexes, enjoys a wide variety of entertainment and discussion. In the past we have enjoyed craft demonstrations and talks and discussions varying from the work of "The Seeds of Hope" group for children in Romania to "Hearing Dogs". In addition we have held a number of successful and entertaining social events. Details of our forthcoming events are normally found on the news and calendar of events page.
In partnership with Broxburn & Strathbrock Parish Churches, we currently run an Alpha Course. For those unfamiliar with the course, it is a fifteen session practical introduction to the Christian Faith and is aimed particularly at people who don’t go to church. The evening begins with the viewing of a video presented by Nicky Gumbel (now with subtitles) and is followed by a discussion in small groups on the content of the video. The Alpha Course is usually held in the “Open Door”, 28 Main Street, Uphall. Everyone is welcome to come along and join. We have a lively and fun loving
group of children aged between 3 and 10 years in the Sunday Stars which meets
during the Church service on Sunday mornings. At the last
We would love to welcome new children to the Sunday Stars, and, if you are aged 3 to 10 years, urge you to come along and join in the fun. In these pictures you can see the fun at the Picnic usually held in early summer.

If you are aged 11 years or over and live locally, why not come along to our informal meetings during the Church service in the “Open Door” café (next to the Church at 28 Main Street, Uphall) and join us to explore a variety of relevant Christian topics using discussion, mime, art, drama etc. At present, there are 10 of us and our interests include music, fashion, dancing, sport and motorbikes. (The girls wanted us to include “cute guys, mobile phones and a good gossip” !!) We usually split into 2 groups - the younger consisting of the 11 to 14 age group while the older group caters for those 14 years or above. We would love to hear from any other Christian groups out there, with a view to exchanging ideas and views.
Pray Together meets every Wednesday in the Vestry at 9.30am. All are welcome to join us as we pray for our congregation, parish and nation. If you would like the prayer group to pray for someone you know please fill in a form found in the church and put it in the prayer box or visit our Prayer Page and fill in an interactive web form.
"Learn Together" meets in the Open Door (Cafe next door to the Church opposite Scotmid). on Monday evenings at 7.30pm for chat, discussion and an opportunity to "learn together". Please come along and join us in this informal group.
We hold regular coffee mornings in the Church Hall on Saturday mornings. All are welcome so please feel free to come along for a coffee and chat with your friends from 10 am - noon on Saturdays from September to May.

children attending regularly to enjoy learning about Jesus and taking part in
various activities including singing, playing musical instruments, drawing,
games and drama. Stories and Bible readings are an important part of our
meetings. There is a regular bus from Uphall Station to bring the children from
the village down to join us in Uphall South Church Sunday Stars and for family services, prizegivings and for social events such as the barbeque in September.
